We are a family of four serving the Lord in South America!
Mike and Marcy are both teachers with a passion for overseas missions. We have traveled to Japan, Brazil, Ukraine, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Peru on different short term mission trips and have been blessed to introduce our two incredible children, Ella and Liam, to a life of serving others.
After many years of serving on short term teams we began to feel the call to deepen our dependence on God and to actively live a life of service to Him. And so...we answered the Call.
God led us to a wonderful organization dedicated to creating Redeemed Lives, Beautiful Churches, and Transformed Communities throughout South America. We have been commissioned by that organization, South America Mission, to serve as teachers at SAM Academy, a school for missionary kids in Pucallpa, Peru. We are being sent out through our home church, First Christian of Covington, VA.
SAM Academy is an awesome place that offers a Christian education to the children of missionaries serving in the city of Pucallpa and the surrounding jungle. Because of the availability of our school, the parents of our students can continue serving in the ministries they have been led to do while their kids learn and grow academically and spiritually in a loving environment. We prepare our kids to be "lights in the world" in whatever culture or walk of life they are eventually called to.
